Here below we describe som typical problems that are related to adhesives in the labelling industry. Of course we can solve these, but also many other, problems.

"Flag" of necklabels (CAS 300)

At a beerbrewery the production had lots of problems with a new label quality on their bottle. Labels dit bend around back from the bottle. The water in the adhesive and a too low tack of the adhesive made this happen. With the introduction of CAS 300 the problem was solved. CAS 300 consists of relatively little water, dries slowly and has a high initial wettack.

Labels with spared out glue lap on rotery hot melt machine (e.g. Krones, Langguth)

This company did have a vertical hot melt labelling machine with a pick up and glue lap station. Through the local thinner paper at the sides the labels are being bend in the magazine already. Pick up therefore happens late on the label. This horizontal offset cannot be solved by most machines, that's why the hot melt in this case had no margin left to slip. We need to use our best tacky hot melt, HM 1474.

False positon of gluelap at linear machine

With a linear machine where the label goes around the pot some labels will not pull straight around. As this is a typically machineproblem the adhesive was (once again) required to solve the problem. A very high tack has solved the problem. (CAS 301).

Smearing on linear labelling machine

A problem we see many times is smearing on linear machines. It's not a problem untill the smearing affects the labelmagazine. Most adhesives are made for rotery machines (because of their larger volumes). Though, most adhesives can be quite easily adapted to run fine on linear machines. Most common solutions are
